Are you interested in learning a few simple ways to make money online? I know I was and am! I was/am in student debt about $40k. (It’s a little down since starting my online journey) I finally got fed up with all of those annoying calls and decided to do something! I have made a list of a few simple ways to make money online all from the comfort of your home.

1.) Start Blog

2.) SwagBucks

You can sign up here.

Swagbucks is a hugely popular site for those looking to making some cash online. With over 20 million subscribers, it is a proven way to earn some extra income. It just depends on how much time you want to devout to being on their website. You perform different tasks and earn SwagBucks. There are a variety of different ways to earn SwagBucks, such as:

  • Take Surveys

  • Play Games
  • Shop

  • Watch Videos

Every 100 SwagBucks = $1

The more and more tasks that you complete the quicker your account will grow. Once you have redeemed enough SwagBucks you can either cash out and get paid or you can get a gift card. They have about 400 retailers to choose from for the gift cards. Popular choices include:

  • Amazon gift cards
  • Target gift cards
  • Starbucks gift cards
  • Olive Garden
  • Uber credit
  • Hulu Credit

There are many other survey sites to choose from, my personal favorite is SwagBucks but here is a list of some others that you might want to look into.

(Some Advice before doing any of the survey sites)

  1. Setup a different email account- your email account is going to get BLOWN up with tons of new surveys available, how much you have in your account, etc. Setup just an Email account for Surveys
  2. Don’t share too much- It goes without saying but NEVER share any personal information, i.e. Social Security or Drivers License number. Do not Let them try to Bugs Bunny you…. they are asking about your tv habits and then all of a sudden they are asking about your social security number. Be Smart and know which sites you are joining.
  3. Take Breaks- It’s easy to get caught up in doing survey after survey, but take breaks! Don’t try to become a Millionaire overnight by doing Surveys. Don’t forget to take care of yourself FIRST. According to the American Optometric Association, they recommend the “20/20/20 rule: Take a 20-second break every 20 minutes and look at something 20 feet away.”

Some Other survey sites looking into: Opinion Outpost

3.) Rakuten formerly “Ebates”

Earn Cashback while you shop! It’s an easy way to get some extra cash! I use it all the time when shopping online. It’s even in my tool bar, so when I am entering a new website Rakuten will pop up telling me what % cash back I can get at this store. If you shop online, then you can save tons of money!

4.) Freelance work

There are a few different sites that you can check out. Basically,  you can work in the comfort of your own home doing simple tasks for other people. There are a lot of different categories to chose from and you can make up your own services too! What does that mean? You can provide any service that someone is willing to pay for. There is this one guy, who provides this service: “I Will Get Ghetto And Go Ghetto” … He will “get ghetto” on whoever you want. He has Almost 1,000 Reviews and a perfect 5 star rating! So you can do ANYTHING on there just be creative and be good at IT!

5.) Poshmark

Kind of Online Sales, kind of In person Sales. You can sell any clothes that you no longer want or are too small. I’m sure most of us can take a look in our closets and find many clothes that are “so last season”. I know I suffer from hoarding clothes and I didn’t want to just donate my super hip clothes to GOODWILL. I’m a fan of charitable donations but they are a business too! They profit off the clothes or any other items that you are donating.

My personal Opinion is I’d rather try to Make Money so I FIRST try to sell any clothes and then if I can’t THEN I donate them. Sometimes I will make a bet with my husband, who’s always trying to get me to declutter my closet. He will give me like a month to sell some items and if I don’t then I HAVE to donate them. It makes it a WIN-WIN for both of us. If I sell then I get a little extra money and if I don’t well then as EMINEM sings “I’m Cleaning out my Closet”.

I love this site because you can either cash out the money via paypal or check OR you can use the money that you make to purchase clothes too! I have bought “Brooks” running shoes on here for cheap, regularly $100 bought them for $30!  And then as it turned out was free because I already had credit. AWESOMENESS!! I buy a lot of my kids shoes, etc on here. They are still at the age of destruction and I refuse to pay full price for name brand clothes that they are just going to mess up! So I buy gently used on here. Instead of pillaging through the stores discount racks, you can search for exact brand and article of clothing interested in. You also can sign up to be notified if the product goes on SALE!

How does Poshmark Work?

  1. Post an article of clothing that you are selling, post a pic or two and a brief description. List a price and wait till someone buys! Then…
  2. They Email you a shipping label and you can put your article in any box or mail envelope that you want. I typically use the free Post Office Envelopes, I will just go down to the local post office and tell them that I constantly ship items and they give me a HUGE stack of Envelopes.
  3. After the person receives, you get paid. Poshmark does take a percentage, but in my opinion definitely worth it!
